Worked for 25 years in the non-profit world as Director of Operations for Norman Vincent Peale.  Then joined the corporate world  and worked as the COO of Brandywine Retained Ventures, an executive search firm.  After bringing this firm to profitability, we sold to Korn Ferry International where I was a consultant until I retired.

Worked 37 years in IBM finance with positions in planning, pricing, budgets, measurements and reporting, plans and controls, and business operations. In managerial roles, focused on staff development, providing coaching and career opportunities. While on assignment in Paris, France managed a team of three managers and twenty-five staff professionals responsible for setting the prices of new IBM products in thirty-six countries and currencies. Successfully managed the financial dynamics of outsourcing non-core facilities organizations which was the first significant outsourcing of IBM employees.

Self employed in the office furniture industry as a manufacturer’s representative. Started as a local representative, then regional and finally national. Developed the lateral file and created a filing systems business.  Started a manufacturing business of specialty executive office furniture geared toward the “Fortune 100 Corporations”.  Assisted in product development but concentrated on sales and marketing while managing four nationally dispersed showrooms and a national sales staff of 48. Has extensive background working with architects and interior designers.

Steve Harr

Business Experience

Worked for IBM in systems engineering and as a sales representative in the 60’s. Joined Pfizer in 1970 and held positions in information systems, marketing, sales and business unit management.  Spent final half of his career in strategic planning with various units of the company retiring in 2001 as divisional vice president of strategic planning. Has worked for SCORE since shortly after his retirement.  He is also involved with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester and various other volunteer activities.
